Bush Heritage encourages and supports the participation of
Traditional Owners in the management of land that Bush Heritage
owns or manages through:
- Acknowledging and promoting Indigenous people’s
connection to Bush Heritage reserves and developing partnership
agreements to support both access and use of Country.
- Inviting and providing access to reserves for the undertaking
of cultural values assessments, planning and protection works and
the management of cultural sites and areas of
significance.
- The incorporation of Indigenous peoples aspirations into
management plans and activities, and involvement in conservation
management activities.
- Supporting the development of Indigenous people’s skills
in contemporary natural resource management and where possible
employing Indigenous peoples services.
