NAILSMA is involved in supporting Indigenous land
and sea management initiatives that are relevant across the whole
of northern Australia. Research and natural resource management
projects are funded via NAILSMA's core member organisations. These
currently include:
- Leadership, Scholarship and Communication.
- North Australian Fire Management.
- Integration of Research and Indigenous Land
Management
- Indigenous Water Policy Group.
- Indigenous Knowledge Conservation Strategy.
- Dugong and Marine Turtle Management.
- Enterprise Development.
