Dear Supporters.
I would like to thank all
those people that have supported NAILSMA over the past year in our
endeavors to create better outcomes for people in the bush on a
range of very challenging and logistically difficult issues. This
year has been an enormous year for NAILSMA. Some of the many
achievements include the announcement of support for NAILSMA's
Carbon initiative from Virgin Unite, a jointly hosted meeting with
the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues and the UN
university for a Climate Change Experts Meeting, an International
Indigenous Experts Water Forum, through to the recognition for
saltwater people managing stocks of Marine Turtle and Dugongs with
NAILSMA winning a Banksia Award - just to name a few
highlights.
I would like to extend my
appreciation to my board and staff and those people who have
supported NAILSMA thus far.
I hope you all have a safe
and enjoyable xmas and new year break, and look forward to a
challenging, but very rewarding 2009.
