Climate change and carbon farming in Northern Australia: Education manual for facilitators

Author:  NAILSMA and Live and Learn Environmental Education
Publication Type:
Publication Date:
2015

The North Australian Indigenous Land and Sea Management Alliance Ltd (NAILSMA) and Live & Learn Environmental Education (Live & Learn) developed this manual as part of NAILSMA’s Carbon Program to support land managers in Northern Australia. The Program focuses on the potential for traditional burning methods to provide a unique environmental service that creates benefits locally, nationally and globally.

This manual content is written primarily for carbon farming project developers or organisations that deliver extension and outreach services to Indigenous land owners and land managers. After participating in the activities provided through this manual, we hope that many more Indigenous people have sufficient knowledge for informed participation in discussions and decision-making about carbon farming projects.
