First Indigenous Experts Forum on sustainable economic development 2012
Young Indigenous leaders, elders, leading professionals, practitioners and experts in a range of fields including economics, cultural, social, environment and policy engaged in a dialogue aimed at setting a policy foundation and action-based planning framework for Indigenous participation in northern development.
The overarching aim of the Forum was to build a future for northern Australia that is inclusive of the wide range of Indigenous interests and aspirations. Participanats were required to challenge the existing paradigm that currently drives, and arguably restricts northern development.
