In this section you can find information on which
areas of research NAILMSA is currently funding, and how to apply
for that funding.
Scholarships
The Scholarships or NAILSMA Study Assistance Program supports
Indigenous students who are planning to study or already studying,
formal natural and cultural resource management related course
across northern Australia.
Through the program individuals and groups lodge an application
with NAILSMA for financial assistance to undertake the desired
studies, at any level, at their desired institute. The program is
flexible to meet the needs of a variety of applicants, whether
undertaking study in remote communities or based in urban centres.
The Tropical Savannas CRC sponsors the program and an expert
sub-committee made up of Western Australia, the Northern Territory
and Queensland representatives, assess applications.

learning from older people. If you are in the area covered by the
Northern Land Council, Tiwi Land Council or Anindilyakwa Land
Council you can apply for these grants.
