Personal
Samara was born in Adelaide, South Australia but grew up in
Darwin, Northern Territory. Her heritage on her mother’s side
is Yawuru and on her father’s side is Kaytetye.
Professional
Samara graduated from Charles Darwin University in 2005 with a
Degree in Natural Resource Management. Since then she was employed
as a Graduate with the Northern Territory Government's Department
of Natural Resources, Environment and the Arts working in the areas
of: Indigenous Economic Development; Local Government, Compliance
and Monitoring; Collections Management at the Museum and Art
Gallery of the Northern Territory (MAGNT); Human Resource Services;
Maritime Archaeology at MAGNT; Secretariat and Bushfires of the
Northern Territory.
Project
Samara has been working with NAILSMA since 2006. She is
currently working as the NAILSMA Operations Manager . In this role
Samara is responsible for assisting the Chief Executive Officer in
manging the operations of NAILSMA projects and the
organisation.
